99 arctic cat carb

Ok so i bought this bike the other day of craigslist im full of problems and never messed with a arctic cat so please help... So im working on my wiring issues earlier and i left the fuel on went back out about 6 hours later and it has filled my cylinder up with fuel and is leaking out of the exhaust where the header meets mid pipe. My ? is why would the carb let gas pour through? I guess I just need to get it rebuilt i hope that problem is the carb... And i have drained my oil it didn't have gas in it that i could tell but i went ahead anyway...

Sounds like you have trash in the carb not letting the float needle stop the flow. And the overflow tube is stopped up with trash so the only place all that fuel has to go is into the cylinder.
